Our threefold mission:

1. Ensure every student receives high-quality, research-based writing instruction at BYU;
2. Help every student communicate effectively in academic, professional, and civic situations; and,
3. Support faculty across campus in their efforts to teach writing.

The Aims of a BYU Education document states that each student should acquire language abilities that enable students to listen, speak, read, and write well; to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in one area of expertise as well as on general subjects.
